1. ST. RITA - MAHANJE
MAHANJE - Tanzania - Diócesis of Songea, today Archdiocese - Foundation date: 02-14-1978. The pioneers of the presence of the Augustinian Missionaries in Tanzania were the Sisters Presentation Gutiérrez, Pilar González and Pilar Nieto, who arrived in Mahanje, Diocese of Songea, in February 1978.
Our sisters assumed and carried out the work in the dispensary (owned by the diocese), promotion of women and different ways of helping people. The sisters also collaborated in other parish activities and especially helped the most needy.
On January 4, 1988 in Mahanje we began the educational activity in the SANTA RITA KINDERGARTEN, with capacity for 80 children. Sr. Ignacia Villacorta was the first director of this Nursery School. From the beginning until now, we also have a training program for their parents.
Later we opened an ORPHANAGE (MALAIKA) in Mahanje to take in orphaned and children at-risk. The house is designed to accommodate about fifteen children, in order to experience the most familiar environment possible. There are nine children currently.
2. ST. AUGUSTINE - WINO
TANZANIA - WINO'S MISSION . Diocese of Songea - Foundation date: 05-22-1984
On May 22, 1984, the town of Wino officially received the sisters Carmen López, Angelita Velasco, Carmina Sánchez, Felicidad García and Ana Rosa Lázaro. People welcomed them with great joy
ST. AUGUSTINE NURSERY SCHOOL, for children between 3 and 7 years old, was the first educational activity that we began in Wino on October 24, 1984 (official date 01-04-1985). We currently have five classrooms to accommodate the nearly 200 children who come to the nursery.
SANTA MONICA NURSERY SCHOOL of Wino began on 15 of the 1990 April and was officially opened on May 22 the same year. The School has capacity for 60 students.
3. ST. MONICA - FIRE - ARUSHA
Arusha. Fire Community - Foundation: January 18, 2001
After the preparations required to open a house, on January 18, 2001, a new community called ST. MONICA officially began in the Fire neighborhood of the city of Arusha, located in northern Tanzania.
The pastoral activity is always part of the apostolic tasks of the community.
4. MOTHER OF GOOD COUNSEL - NOVITIATE
MOSHONO
Arusha. Novitiate Community , Moshono - Foundation Date: November 2- 6 - 2002. On November 26, 2002, the novitiate was established in Moshono and was called MOTHER GOOD COUNSEL COMMUNITY.
Since its opening, this house also became the HEADQUARTERS OF THE DELEGATION.
Arusha. Educational project. SANTA MÓNICA NURSERY, PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL.
On January 7, 2007 , the Santa Monica School of Arusha, Moshono, began its journey and inaugurated the Children's pavilion with capacity for 240 students distributed in six classrooms , two for each of the three levels of Baby class, Middle class and Pre-unit class.
In January 2010 the first course of Elementary School Santa Monica Arusha-Moshono was inaugurated and October this year (2015). In January 2016 the secondary studies began.
KENYA
1. OUR LADY OF CONSOLATION - ISHIARA
KENYA. ISHIARA MISSION. Diocese of Meru-Embu. Foundation Date: 04-14-1985 (08-06-1986)
On April 12, 1985, Easter Monday, the sisters Piedad Pacho, Concepción Ortega and Ana Rosa Lázaro arrived in Ishiara from Wino, Tanzania, thus pioneering the presence of the Augustinian Missionaries in Kenya. The community was named as Our Lady of Consolation. In May 1998 the new and current House of Formation was built in Ishiara was inaugurated.
On 18-02-1987, Santa Monica Boarding High School began in the same campus.
2. ST. MONICA - NAIROBI
KENYA. NAIROBI MISSION . Archdiocese of Nairobi - Foundation Date: 06-18-1998.
On June 18, 1998 St. Monica Community was officially opened.
The sisters in this community carried out pastoral activities in the parish. The community continues to be host student sisters.
3. BLESSED ESTHER AND CARIDAD - MARIANI
The community of Blessed Caridad and Esther bagan on 12th June 2019 with Sr. Isabel Martin and Sr. Rosemary Kitaku. In the same campus is St. Rita Girls Secondary School which was started in January 2020 with the first group of students which caters to the educational needs of the girls around.
